Investment Companies
The Fairfax Equities Team provides a full broking and advisory service to companies seeking to raise new capital through admission to the London AIM market. The firm has also been appointed by UKLA as Sponsors enabling it to undertake Main Market listings.

The Fairfax team has had an average of 10 years tenure in senior management positions prior to joining Fairfax. The division focuses on the activities and needs of its clients and translates them into successful fundraisings and continues to provide the equally important post fund raising support and service. The core focus of the team are companies seeking to raise up to £150 million in the smaller companies sector - the division is capable of assisting companies seeking to raise larger sums.

The team is split into four sections:

  • Corporate Finance - who support the actual process of admitting companies to AIM or the Main Market and managing the various formalities to ensure a successful flotation.
  • Research - which provides a detailed background research report in connection with each proposed flotation. The research gives a detailed overview of the business to be floated and an independent assessment of the valuation of the company post flotation.
  • Equity Sales - who carry out the actual fundraising process. Equity Sales have relationships with most UK institutional investors as well as with investors in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the USA. Fairfax has a focus in increasing its global reach of institutional investors.
  • Market Making - who make markets in the shares of our corporate clients with a view to improving liquidity in the market.

As importantly the Fairfax Equities Team provides companies with a thorough post IPO service which includes: Advice on secondary fundraisings and other corporate actions Market making and secondary trading Continuing advice on market and shareholder relations Co-ordination of investor relations On going analyst coverage and results reporting.
