Conister Trust plc
Conister Trust plc announced the appointment of Fairfax I.S. PLC as its nominated broker on 13th October 2006.
Conister was founded in Douglas in 1935 as the Isle of Mans first major provider of credit finance and is still the local market leader. But over the last quarter of a century it has diversified strongly as a deposit taking bank and it has been licensed since the Islands licensing regime for banks and deposit-takers, was established in 1975. It now has assets of more than £60 million.
Conister Finance & Leasing Ltd, a leasing and hire purchase company operating in Wigan and Huddersfield, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Conister Trust PLC.
