Fairfax I.S. PLC raised £2.6m in a pre IPO placing for Nviro Cleantech Limited.

Nviro Cleantech Limited commercialises clean technologies, such as renewable energy generation, waste recycling, emissions control, and air quality monitoring, in order to benefit the global environment.The technologies championed by the company are designed to provide superior performance at lower costs, whilst minimizing or eradicating environmental pollution.

Nviro’s strategy is to operate similarly to a venture fund for promising clean technologies, with proven laboratory innovations, which have large addressable markets. The company seeks out and licences these technologies from universities or small boutique start-ups, and provides the necessary capital, project management support, and technical skills, to successfully bring them to market. Nviro has acquired two strong near to market, proven lead technologies in the areas of clean coal and composite wood recycling, that have large addressable markets in a breadth of industries, with a portfolio of follow on opportunities

The IPO is planned for spring 2007.
