Fairfax I.S. PLC announces that it has been approved as a Listing Sponsor for the Dubai International Financial Exchange (‘DIFX’) with immediate effect.

The DIFX was opened in 2005 and aims to become the leading Stock Exchange between Western Europe and Asia. Its standards are comparable to those of leading international Stock Exchanges in New York, London and Hong Kong.

The DIFX currently has 19 Member Banks including ABN AMRO, Barclays, Citigroup, CSFB, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and UBS.

In addition Fairfax I.S. PLC’s regulatory authorisation is now recognised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority.
