Fairfax I.S. PLC announces that it has completed a successful secondary fundraising for Yatra Capital Limited (“Yatra”), through a public offering in the Netherlands and a private placement with institutional investors in certain other jurisdictions. Fairfax, together with ABN AMRO Rothschild raised c. €120 million for Yatra through the allocation of 11,428,571 new ordinary shares at a placing price of €10.50 per share.

Last year Fairfax raised an initial €100 million for Yatra through a private placing of 10,000,000 ordinary shares, which listed on Eurolist by Euronext, Amsterdam N.V. (“Euronext”) in December 2006.

Yatra is the first India focused investment company to have listed on Euronext. The Company targets quality real estate investments in tier I cities within India, with the option to invest in tier II, III and IV cities with strong fundamentals, attractive risk/return profiles, and potential for value creation.
